Do I need travel insurance if I book through you?
We always advise that clients take adequate travel insurance ensuring extras like water sports or winter sports are covered too if that's what you intend to do. However, although it is not the law to take insurance, many airlines may ask you to produce your insurance at check in and can refuse boarding if you don’t have insurance paperwork with you.
Where can I find travel advice about the country I intend travelling to?
The Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s Know before You Go (KBYG) is a fantastic campaign where you can find out most information relating to the country you are travelling to. You may need a visa depending on the country you are travelling to, this is your responsibility and must be applied for before your holiday.
If I have walking difficulties or reduced mobility, who do I need to tell?
If you call our Customer Service team, they will be happy to assist and advise with what help is available.
If I need assistance at the airport, can you help with this?
Yes, again call our Customer Service team and they will arrange this for you.
I have special dietary requirements, should I notify you before I travel?
We can pass on any requests for special diets for both the airline and the accommodation; however, these are only requests and cannot be guaranteed.
Am I able to travel if I am pregnant?
Providing your pregnancy has been uncomplicated and you are fit and well, there should be no reason why you cannot travel until your 28th week of pregnancy; however every airline has different rules, so please advise our customer service department and we will find out the specific rules for the airline you are travelling with.
I need to carry specific medication with me at all times, can I carry the medication onto the aircraft?
Every airline has different regulations regarding medication and each situation is different for each passenger. The safest option is to advise our customer service department and we can find out the correct information for your flight.
Is it possible to change my holiday myself online?
No, any changes must be emailed through to our customer service team; they in turn will call you back to discuss administration fees.
How much is it to change my holiday?
The administration fees change depending on what you are changing, and it will all depend on the tour operators booking conditions. The best way is to call or email our customer service team and they can find out for you.
Can I add ski packs/flight meals etc to my holiday at a later date?
The general rule of thumb is that it is possible to add extras to your holiday up to 3 days prior to departure, however, contact customer services and they will give you the prices and if it is possible.
If I need to cancel my holiday, who should I call?
The customer service team will be happy to help you with this. Every holiday will incur cancellation fees, some of which increase the nearer you get to departure.
If I have to cancel because of a medical condition, will I lose all my money?
This depends on when the holiday is cancelled; every operator has different cancellation charges. We recommend taking travel insurance in case of medical issues, if you have travel insurance, you may be able to claim some of the lost monies back this way.
What are the child and infant ages with your company?
An infant is any child who has not yet reached their 2nd birthday, if the baby is 2 whilst on holiday, they will not be allowed to travel as an infant. They must be under 2 on the return date. Child ages range from 2 – 16 depending on the type of accommodation you are travelling to and also on the tour operator. Please ask the sales team when you first call up and they will endeavour to give you’re the best price for your family.
Do my children need a passport?
Every passenger including babies need a passport to travel out of the UK and most destinations require 6 months validity too, although some countries require less.
What facilities are available on the flight when travelling with children?
Most airlines will offer to warm up baby food and milk for you, although you must carry this onboard yourself along with nappies and other such necessities for a baby, however these must be in a clear sealed container or bag and you must make the check in staff/ airline aware of what you are carrying on board as they may refuse boarding if you don’t.
Can I take a pushchair on the flight?
It is possible to take a pushchair on the airline, you may check it in with your cases or keep it until your board the aircraft where it will be taken from you and placed in the hold. You may collect it again at your arrival baggage hall.
What is my baggage allowance?
Most full paying passengers get an allowance of 15-20kg per person, however this can vary, especially with cheap airlines where none is included and you have to pay extra, please check with the sales staff at the time of booking.
What if I go over my luggage allowance?
Your bags will be weighed at check in, if you are over your allowance, you may have to pay an excess baggage charge which varies from airline to airline.
What hand luggage can I take onto the flight?
Most airlines will allow 1 piece of hand luggage per passenger weighing no more than 5kg. The bags must be small enough to fit under the seat in front of you or in the overhead lockers. If you require a larger hand luggage allowance because of medical reasons, we can advise the airlines in advance but you may need to produce a doctor’s letter if requested.
Am I able to take my own skis/snowboard?
Skis and snowboards must be pre booked onto your holiday and there is generally a charge for this. Every airline charges different amounts and there is only a small amount of space for this so you should check if ski carriage is available before you confirm your holiday. Once the ski carriage allocation is fully booked, there is no way of getting your skis onto the same flight, however there are companies such as www.fetchmyluggage.com who will transport your skis to resort as a fee.
Can I carry other items in my ski bag?
Due to weight and size restrictions, most airlines specify that no other items are to be placed in the ski bag, and most ski carriage has a weight allowance of 15kg maximum.
How long do I need to be at the airport before my flight?
We ask that you allow a minimum 2 hour check in for short haul flights and 3 hours for long haul. However if you are collecting tickets or have medical assistance pre booked, please allow extra time for this too.
How do I know which terminal I fly from?
If the airport you are departing from has more than one terminal, we will advise you which terminal you need to go to. You can also check the departures on the airports own website.
What documents do I need to take on holiday?
It is important to take all your holiday paperwork with you, this should be minimum passport, travel insurance and travel tickets. You may be required to take a holiday invoice and we will ensure you have this prior to departure if that is the case. Be sure to check the health and visa requirements for the country you are travelling to as visas etc are your responsibility.
I am scared of flying; can I drive or get a train to my resort?
Some resorts are easily reached by self drive or train, however they are harder to source, our sales staff will be happy to try for you.
How can I pre book extra leg room?
You can call our customer service team and the should be able to do this for you or you can go onto airlines website a pre book the seats direct if the system has the facilities.
Can we sit together on the flight?
You can pre book your seats together at the time of booking with our sales staff or call customer services and they can add it to your booking. Many operators allow you to do it on line too.
Can I use my Electricals on the flight?
All laptops, Gameboys, iPods, iPads, DVD players can be used in flight but must be switched off during take off and landing. Mobile phones must remain in flight mode or switched off at all times during your flight.
