Passo Tonale is a sunny snow sure resort ideal for all levels of skiers. Positioned on a high sunny pass with long hours of sunshine, south facing slopes and a glacier this resort is one of Italy`s highest purpose built resort. A new lift system was opened in 2005 enabling you to ski both sides of the area and in to the neighbouring resort of Ponte di Legno.
For beginners the wide south facing slopes are fantastic to help you build confidence and also have fun in the snow. Intermediates will relish in the slopes on the north face and the cable car will transfer you up to the Paradiso area and the Presena Glacier which is open in high season. Advanced skiers will enjoy this resort but may not be pushed to the max as you may have to duplicate runs towards the end of the week. Off piste skiing is available but limited. Snowboarders will take full advantage of the snowboard park which has a half pipe and rails, could also be fun for skiers.
Non skiers will enjoy the sports centre with swimming pool or why not try your hand at Dogsledding, Snowmobiling or Ice Skating. Alternatively if shopping is more your thing then why not sample the nearby resort of Ponte de Legno which is easily reached by the regular ski bus.
Apres ski offers a handful of bars and disco pubs and there are also some lovely restaurants to sample.
